I feel like both Gem and Pearl have become more chaotic now that they have settled into Hermitcraft. And you know what. I don't mind a confident GeminiSlay or a 5AM Pearl. Gem is Great!

The chaos of the first half of the episode, from Joel’s skeleton horse to fWhip’s face on the portal to the potions with sausage and everything else, was just wonderful! Just came back from golf and this just made my day!
With your create smelter, the fans actually process up to 16 items at the same speed as 1 item. I seem to remember chutes carry 16 items at once, but if that's wrong a brass funnel can also be configured to do 16 items at once. Either way, it's an easy way to make it literally 16x as fast
Also, instead of making the belt go slower, it would be better to add more fans.
@@thomasfplm It doesn't matter time wise I'm pretty sure. Adding more fans just costs more resources for no extra benefit. Theoretically you don't even need more than one fan. The most efficient (resource construction wise) fan smelter actually just uses one fan, no belts, you just drop items in front of it and it blows them into a filtered brass funnel (that only accepts cooked items) as it burns them. This setup cooks a theoretically infinite amount of things with one fan, and not much space. It looks less good though and you don't get to watch it cook stuff
@@Sam27182 , the suggestion I gave would have more itens being cooked at the same time than the way Gem did, increasing output.
The option you described with a single fan would be even quicker but probably less aesthetically pleasing, as you said.

With Gem's create mod interactions, I'm starting to call her "Mumbo Gembo".
I have a feeling she was getting tired of the blaze origin, cuz there's no way Gem would have done that by accident. Her skyblock series is evidence of that.
I think that's different because usually she would have feather falling and protection so that wouldn't have killed her whereas in sky block you know to be weary of edges.
I love how Gem is just churning out beautiful content and comedy while also spending time with Winnie and family.

Replace the andesite funnel on your smelter with a brass one as that can output a stack of blocks at a time instead of one
it also takes longer to smelt a full stack

FYI, Create can make you infinite sand passively. Might want to consider it for one of your next builds as it is always something that you need more of.

Oops.... I was enjoying Blaze Gem! Anyway, I am a blacksmith, so I work with fire and hot steel all the time. I think you captured fire pretty well. The hottest steel looks like a bright, wet, lemony yellow, then it cools down through orange colors to red. Looks like you got that.
Did you know that instead of using a belt, you can just have the fan blow the items toward the funnel? It can be a fun way to process items or just move them around.
I really hope that Gem's next origin is immune to fall damage.😆

In the Better Nether mod, there are braziers that can be used in builds, one that is Netherrack and another that is Soul Sand, so you can choose which flame to use

Gem you can just put a filter for glass on the chest receiving the glass for your smelter and it'll stop on the belt until it's smelted.

Poor Gem just can’t catch a break regarding her lack of abilities. At least she should be fine in the Nether. That said, hot and genius meets her criteria perfectly, and I especially love how she exploded herself to prove a good point.
Also, if you’re reading this, Gem, I strongly recommend you start playing Better Than Wolves. I started again, this time for real, just a couple months ago, and I haven’t looked back at Vanilla outside of KRclip ever since. I also play TerraFirmaCraft, Survivalcraft, and soon, Order of the Stone for Minecraft Bedrock, and I’ve found them to be much more of a proper game experience than Vanilla has ever been for me. Again, if you’re reading this, please try out Better Than Wolves and the other experiences mentioned. Thank you for listening.

For your smelter. You can use an attribute Filter. Blacklist the "is smeltable" tag and use it on an Brass funnel then the belt Speed doesent matter. And brass funnel output whole stacks on the belt.
The create mod is insane- I can’t process how everything works 😮

Hey Gem... Could one of you 'New Life' creators give a list of the basic mods used of the server? Some of them look interesting and a couple friends and I would like to use them to start a new server for us to play on with the kids... both older and younger ("Vanilla is getting boring" to quote one of them. LOL!) Oh yeah.. and fWhip has a sand and gravel machine.. You could talk to him about how to make one.

Gem- you should make a museum where you display fan art from each of your lives. you could make each section of the museum out of blocks that represent the origin that you are displaying art for

Hey Gem, Just an FYI This video is not in it's corresponding playlist. I really like your videos, i just found you through the hermitcraft, i watched Mumbo, then Grian, then Scar, then Impulse, and then you, and i just finished and am all caught up. Great series, i love your elven castle build on top of Impulse's base. The newest addition of the Hermits in barrels going down your waterfall is 10/10 and really ties the 2 bases together nicely.

As well as farms for any other spawners you find in the nether.
I don't understand how hasn't anyone done any of those yet, specially considering how many people got fire immunity until now.
Also, I agree that it doesn't make a lot of sense that you can't shoot fireballs (Sausage's new origin that is a phoenix can, for some reason) and you should be capable of at least float, even if it made you slower than walking.

I really hope she gets something to counteract the fall damage and/or water damage. Because Bee Gem was weak to smoke and died in the nether. Then she got to be HOT. I hope her next life has something to do with flying and water XD

Well there is a Blaze Guardian origin. Which allows flight, shoot fireballs and if attacking a player or mob instantly burns but gets weakness if in a space that more then 30 blocks high

17:39 personally ive justified it as 'if the blaze came from a spawner they set their respawn point there so a spawner-centric farm is fine you're just giving your blaze friends some friendly pvp practice' but that's kinda just my headcanon lore

Rather than slowing down the belt you can put a filter on the funnel to only accept glass and it will just wait on the belt until it's been smelted.
