The create mod and farmer's delight are sooo good. I saw Gem's progress from Joel's video, and I knew I needed to watch her dive into learning this stuff.

Hey Gem, here is a low-tech cosmetic thing you can allready do with what you got. Straw can make Rope - If you place rope above a farmland block and plant a Tomato seed, the crop will crawl up the rope like IRL Tomatos
A 2nd low-tech tip - Look into "Cutting Board", you can strip logs on it with an Axe and then produce stripped bark (and the stripped log ofc). If you then combine: Bark+Bone Meal+Straw+Dirt you will produce a compost block that when placed will age into Rich Soil. Rich Soil basically is a self-bonemealing dirt block that can be turned to farmland.

I can’t wait to watch this series. I love that Gem branches out to play with other minecrafters than just Hermitcraft.

Hey Gem! I'm with you, Create Mod is the next iteration of Minecraft vanilla that is in demand. It's just so versatile, and also has been out long enough to be stable for game play. Thanks so much for making this new video series! I'm so excited to see more!!!

A few tips from a Create mod enthusiast:
#1: Update to Create 0.5.1. It's probably more on Scott's end, and honestly it probably hadn't released when you started recording, but it's an awesome update that changes a bunch of relevant things (such as adding larger waterwheels)
#2: Use ponders! Most items from Create will have a tooltip that says "Hold W to ponder", and when you do so it'll pull up a little in-game animation to show you how to use that item/block (if it doesn't have a ponder it'll typically have a summary in the tooltip). You can even ponder from REI (the big panel of items on the left for those of you who don't know)

its perfect that you're having fun with create because it lets you farm honey, pump around honey in pipes, and even make honeyed apples as a good source of food

Loving the new pack! If Quark is in the pack, you should check out the Trowel item, it's a tool that places blocks randomly from your hotbar, it's great for building!

It’s just the natural course of things

It might be helpful to know, and I don't think anyone has made a video on it, that you can stack cogs on top of each other without them connecting by using that casings (andesite, coper, or brass) on them. This is helpful if you want to speed up the gears but not take up a bunch of space. You can see what I mean by placing a cog, and putting a decorative casing on it by right clicking with the casing. you'll notice that the top of the cog is covered where you would see the end of the rod in the middle. You can right click on it with the wrench to open or close it effectively making it so that a cog on top of another cog aren't actually connected and can rotate in different directions or speeds. I hope this is helpful for you.

As someone who unfortunately ran into one of those mushroom village things in a recent modded playthrough and died, I started to panic when Gem walked straight into it. Those weird mooshroom-piglin things are no joke.

Modded Minecraft is a great refresher once vanilla becomes a little bit stale. There's so many more possibilities for what you can do! And the Create mod being part of this series is going to make it a lot more interesting than Afterlife too!

Love your build already, and the enthusiasm for the create stuff, I think your description of Create as more nerdy and more approachable than redstone is kinda accurate.
A lot of the mods this series seem to be using are really pretty too, Hoping somewhere there will be a mod list (probably once it's over in case they add more?)

Here's a build idea: if you plan to make a your base themed around your origin, maybe once you get a new origin, you add onto the base a new area based on the new origin you get?

Create is a fantastic mod. It adds so much on the technical side with rotation being easier for many to understand intuitively plus it adds so so much for the builders with just a ton of decorative blocks.

Gem there’s some large pots you could put in the greenhouse. They hold either one large flower or 1-4 small flowers of your choice.

I think it's rather poetic that you got the Bee origin first; you were the bee keeper of Empires, you made everyone else keep bees when you got the crown, and now you are a bee. It's like things have come full circle :D

I find it nice that Gem gives in to the ocd and makes sure that the water flows in the correct way to spin the wheels.

This was so fun, I love your origin already and I can't wait to see what else a bee can do! Your creativity and sunshine like disposition has really added a great start to my day!

ps: Create mod tip, you can break any and all create mod bits with the wrench by crouching and right clicking :D This saves durability, and also puts them directly into your inventory!

I think you might be able to use less space for power generation if you use vertical waterwheels side by side.
This way they conect to each other and you can add their power.

I've only just discovered this channel, but I am already loving it! I've never watched this type of Minecraft before. It's fascinating!

Gem you should ask for the Chipped mod, so many more block variants, workbenches for plants, glass, wood.
Also create has windmills for power

Create is awesome and does some really cool stuff while honestly not feeling that modded, if vanilla were to do stuff like typical tech mods itd be something like create rather than the typical 'basically electricity' that tech mods tend towards.
