- GeminiTay is playing hardcore minecraft in the new 1.20 update! Today we go exploring, looking for some sniffer eggs to hatch. Then we create a beautiful sanctuary for them to live in using the new bamboo wood :D

For the paths under the gates, You should be able to break the gates, do the path, and put them back on top, it's worked for me

And they *had* to be the awkward ones to chop too
My disdain for farming them started when their roots were bugged on bedrock and had no correct tool.
Thats fixed now but they are so inconsistent, atleast the branches are consistent, even if annoying to chop.

If you dig a 5x5x5 hole and plant the mangrove tree in the floor it will grow perfectly

Moss carpet on top of torches for hidden light, and lanterns inside trapdoor boxes give a floating lantern impression you can use to light up the roofs
If you chop the gate you can make an path and then just replace the gate

Ahh this Sanctuary is so cute!! I gasped when that one died!
When you said you were glad it wasn’t a big mangrove tree it took it to heart and decided to make it easier on you so it gave you one with 2 logs. So truly thoughtful of the mangrove trees. ❤️
You might want to build a few lamp posts for the sniffer sanctuary.
Also you need to build a giant statue of a sniffer: adult, baby, and egg.

Mangroves are easier to harvest if you work down from the top. So if you wait until the vines grow down to the ground, you can climb up those to the top, and then look through the leaves to find the topmost log. You can also use a hoe to clear the leaves out of the way.
I was a bit skeptical when you showed the block combination but you're really a definition of 'trust the process' lol

Important message: You CAN do the path thing under fence gates, you just have to do the path first and then place the gates!

As i'm watching Gem building the sanctuary, i'm thinking "this place could use a pond." 1 min later: Gem builds a pond. A little later i'm thinking but wait gem, it needs a custom tree at least! And again, Gem reads my mind. She always slays & delivers!
The more reasons to explore in Minecraft, the better, honestly. Love that 1.20 was mostly an exploration update. After completely overhauling the terrain, we've really needed it

One of the cutest micro-builds I've heard of for Sniffers is packed mud stairs and slabs around a solitary moss block, to make a nest. A little cluster of those as some nesting grounds would be _so_ bleeping adorable! 😍🥰

hey gem! i know you might not see this but if your wanting a path underneath the gate you will need to remove the gate, use your shovel to make the path like normal, then place the gates again! Btw i play on bedrock so it might be different for java ☺️💗

Dear Gem, you have been a huge inspiration to me. I started watching your videos a few months ago, and because of you, I became interested in playing Minecraft. Both my kids have played it in the past, but it never seemed interesting to me. Your chill, no stress, happy vibe gave me a new outlook on the game. I started playing on my youngest child’s account, but it wasn’t long before I made the purchase for my own account. I’ve been playing both Java on my computer and bedrock on my Switch. We tried doing the LAN method of playing together, but it just wasn’t working properly. Tonight I broke down and joined Realms so we could play together on one server, regardless if we all are playing. It also means that on the weekends when they have to go to their dads, we can still play together. You have brought me much closer to my boys, as we now have a common interest we can bond over - plus they think I’m cool for playing Minecraft with them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I look forward to all your future videos. ❤

You can put flower pots inside of decorated pots so you can actually store plants in them! Thought I'd let you know :D I love your builds!!
I loved all of those builds with the new blocks! Also, I'm pretty sure you can get path block under fence gates you just have to make the path block first and then put the fence gate on it. It was included when they updated minecarts to go underwater I think.

Great series and content, a little helpful tip, tho you prob already knew, bring a door with you when you are exploring under water, standing in an open door under water lets you breath, and mine at normal speed, super handy when doing under water trails or breaking into monument rooms 🙂 keep up the great work!

Been loving this series Gem! I don’t know how to describe it but whenever you play single player survival worlds it brings me a sense of peace and it’s always relaxing to watch
It's great to see someone actually give the Sniffers some love that they deserve.
You can also make pots with just one or two shards and use bricks!! 😊
I always suggest digging some of the sand around the warm ruins because sometimes there’s suspicious sand underneath!

When exploring ruins, there is usually a ton more sus sand/gravel buried down. Its best to carefully dig around sites to find more
I love all the little buildings but I feel like you need to make the bamboo oval a bit bigger these this take up a lot of room

Hey Gem, in order to prevent more sniffers from dying when they grow up, it's best if you cover or expand any 1 block wide area.
I've never really thought of palm trees in Minecraft, but now that i've seen you build some, i'm actually surprised Mojang didn't add them to the game with either the shipwreck or sniffer updates
my entire idea for my new realm with my friends is basically this - a big sniffer sanctuary and greenhouse for all my cool ancient plants! Love your videos as always Gem!!
