Building an adorable village is a welcome breather from the Decked Out Madness that has consumed Hermitcraft. I love seeing the hermits enjoy it so much, but the change of pace is certainly welcome

a fun story telling idea could be to make a traveling marchant's cart in the main village that sells flowers, honey and candles because it's from the flower village

It's such a simple idea, a small village that tends to bees, but it adds so much to the storytelling and world building! I love watching you build up Hardcore worlds because you take the time to think of stories behind your build and I love the cozyness of that. The mini village turned out so lovely! This video was just such a great time to watch! 🐝🌸

The little bee village looks stunning, I love the more organic, nature vibe there! It contrasts well with the pink&purple main village 💙
Beehives were actually a thing you'd find on castle walls. Just one of the things for guards to do to prevent them from sleeping in the job. And in case of attack, you could drop the hives (although you probably wouldn't unless the battle was going very poorly).

Imagine a small castle or manor house on the hill above the windmills overlooking the village. Maybe a cathedral or library?
Lovely flower field village, Gem! With regards to ageing your copper, they've actually found a method that is faster; I think it has something to do with putting down a layer of oxidized copper beneath the copper you want to age, but don't personally know the details. If you want to know more, however, I'd suggest asking your friend Xisuma on Hermitcraft how to do it. Hope this helps!
Got the biggest smile when I saw you uploaded an episode of this series! Such a joy to watch your creative process unfold with this flowery honey farm. Also found it funny that after all these Decked Out videos, I had an itching worry that a ravager was chasing you the whole time :)

If they are the flowering leaves sometimes the bees get fixated on them and if they are outside the glass this can cause problems with honey production!

I havent watched gem in probably close to a year. Was her episode’s always this awesome and high energy? I feel like there were a lot of luls and slow points. Now their super packed with action I love it. Great editing and pacing. Reminds me of an etho video on speed with all the automating going on

To collect stray honeycomb, you can also plant flowers right next to the hives in the apiary on mud, and use hoppers underneath.

Yay I was looking for a new hard-core episode but I was scared there wouldn't be one for a lil while with DO2 being out (tho more DO2 is never a bad thing XD)
Idk if u saw this by the way but someone found that oxidized copper spreading is rly strong, so if u have a square of oxidized copper and u put a fresh layer on it it will oxidize faster I think? Not sure how helpful it is with just getting to weathered but for other builds if u want that green color could be helpful

The second the granite appeared i got really happy! It reminds me of the first hardcore village, like some of the villagers from the other village made a little settlement at a far away village. Making a small place for them to trade and send some goods back.
Love the trees and I love the paths, I don't know how you make the paths flow so well.

oh Gem, As a fellow Newfoundlaner I've noticed many trees like their branches to blow in one direction more often than not. Maybe you can look into seeing if Minecraft can make that look good.
Interesting thought. It'll be neat if you could build a David Copper Field farm or would it be allowed to have a guest show up for an evening and build one if you don't want to tackle the redstone?
Also makes you wonder what the tuckamore trees on the west coast would look like. I always liked them because of how short they were and the canopy they created made it feel like you were crawling into a cave made of trees

Something that people often forget about trees in windy areas is that they don't grow straight up. I grew up somewhere where it was very windy & all the trees grew slanted slightly to the East.
Maybe you can add a few farms for decoration on the hillside

It’s a Flower Village!!!! I love it and want to live in it now!
I think adding some sort of mosaic on the glass of the greenhouse with the colors of the flowers would be good.
Suspension bridge with moss and nature from the ocean going up the sides kind of overgrown would look really good for the flower village. Maybe even a rail cart system across!
I love the tropical vibe of the sniffer sanctuary!

mini bee village with those windmills could probably be a satellite village of the main one, they got a better wind force in that spot so the grain mills would have a better production rate over there.
now just for the bridge connecting the 2 locations and paths on either side

Honestly for the smaller house you could use for extra villagers and such and name them beekeepers like beekeeper joe and maybe a couple gardeners for the flower fields like sandy the Gardener? I know that may be silly but extra character growth for the bee village also a nice place to put smaller farms to and allowing some bees to pollinate them

I do offer a word of warning with the bees, since I didn't know this when I built an apiary and accidentally killed the server: they repopulate on their own. You don't have to breed them, so if you _do_ breed them, bee prepared to have way more bees than you bargained for.
Fancify the bridge? Brown wood with ametheyst on pink posts? Maybe a minecart system that goes from under the beehouse, across the bridge, and drops off the wax somewhere near the copper fields?

I found out bees can also get honey from the cherry blossoms little flowers that are on the ground aswell! And i am sure they can get honey from the cherry blossom leaves too!!
Build idea; behind the flower village on the hill; you could build a mountain there or perhaps a castle, a pink castle would be beautiful there. :)

I know you’re a way better builder than me but there’s one thing every builder does the “normal” way. They don’t change the wood type of the fences on trees, what I mean is when building an Oak Tree put Spruce Fences on it so it has the same colour of the bark of the trunk.
Oak = Spruce
Spruce = Dark Oak
Dark Oak = Spruce/Dark Oak
Cherry = Dark Oak
Mangrove = Dark Oak
Etc.

Adding bees to a farm in Minecraft is always nice because bees do help grow our veggies, fruits and flowers in real life. It adds that helpfulness of the bees 🐝 🥔🥕🍎🌻
They can and will bonemeal crops in game too!

@@mysticfox9718 if/where possible you want hives surrounded by your veggies/wheat. Bees randomly bonemeal in transit from flowers to hive and back.
