I like the fact that her origin went from being a bee to the thing her last origin doesn’t really like, fire/smoke. And also Stacy finally has an actual fiery friend apart from the striders now.

The damage from the potions is a side effect of being allergic to water! Since potions (at least in vanilla) are water-based, ingesting them gives you damage.
Loving the video! Blazeborn is one of my favorite origins in general and it's so cool to see Gem playing it

I just love the idea of a disorganized but powerful fire wizard... but they hate the rain so they wear a goofy rain coat and use an umbrella, pretty much removing all seriousness from their "I'm a dangerous fire wizard" vibe whenever it starts to drizzle! XD

I love how you went from a very cute origin to a very tough origin but still had to wear an extremely cute raincoat to protect you from the rain
I love the contrast between the two builds, I think it would be a good idea to build some sort of bunker in the nether to help her not die in the nether in the future.

Hoping Gem gets a blaze spawner, as it would mean infinite blazes on top of the rest of the spawners. Which really fits this origin! (not to mention others would probably even pay for the access due to the create mod and scary nether)

There is nothing better than having a chill day and finding out that Gem made a new video!
If you're going with alchemy focus now, look into Potion Rings - basically equippable trinkets with potion effects that you can activate at the push of a button, but drain your experience instead.
Slow Falling or Regeneration are pretty good candidates - SF is obvious, but the regen could work as a temporary counter to water damage.
Or Strength for that extra intimidation factor of strong-nether-creature.
the irony of the origin order so far is perfection. can't wait to see what other shenanigans she gets up to with this one!
(ps i'm a little shook that gem doesn't know atla, but hopefully she'll enjoy it of she checks it out!)
I love the fact that even though this is a new series and a completely different area of gameplay, Gem still has her witchy love for alchemy and magic.

I am so happy that there is another Blazeborn! It is by far my favorite origin and I was really sad when Joel was the only Blazeborn in Afterlife SMP, but now we have Gem, even better!!

I love how everything just works for this second life, where you died, your heart colors, you even went from yellow to orange/red which is like a fire in general!

Edit: AND ALSO, on the top of the tower a little glass dome with a mixture of orange, yellow and red tinted glass would look pretty cool.

i like the idea of a fire theme mixed with a dark and mysterious theme. like, you are the ashes of the fuel fire burns. you are the coal and the logs that fuel the flames, the char of innocent wood that gets too close. you are the smoke, used to signal and conceal. you are the stones that keep flames contained. you are the flames burning the trees and the blackened bark all at once. you are fire and fuel, gas and flames, wick and wax, fuel and fire.

Since it's possible to get spawn eggs, you should be able to use those to create spawners for a lot of creatures that normally can't have them. Your mob farm could get impressive.
Hey Gem just wanted you to know that the list to the left of the inventory is a favorite list of sorts, there’s a hot key for it but I haven’t mess with mods in awhile so I can’t remember the key you use for it.

Gem, with it featuring in your aesthetic, you should know that the amethyst crystal source blocks can be moved (or, depending on config settings, picked up with a wrench) using a Create cart assembler. For use as decoration, or for more convenient farming, perhaps.

Lady Gem, may I recommend investing in covered walkways and animal pens on your base, so you don’t have to don your rain gear every time you venture outside? Tunneling to your basement was my favorite part! 😂

Based off that vibe description of the enchanting floor, Gem would LOVE Caleb Widogast from Critical Role, disorganized but powerful is his whole thing.
Not sure if this has been mentioned but, the comforts mod also comes with hammocks to change day to night. This transition has the benefit of changing the weather from rain to moon shine, cause it'll be night. :D

I believe you can make the fanart less pixelated by checking off a box that makes it less pixelated when you change the settings. Hopefully that helps out Gem!

Loving the series, I always enjoy these Origin story ones; is there a rough modlist for the pack you are all using ? I realise there's a BUNCH of custom stuff in there but a lot of the decor blocks, lights, the nether environments etc come from normal mods I think right ?

I believe that you took a heart of damage from the potion due to it being mainly a water bottle! I could be wrong though

The spiral staircase with the bookshelves looks exactly like gem's enchanting room in her 1.13 letsplay of minecraft.
Should make a potion ring gem it allows for you to basically have that potion at all times and not have to worry about brewing them. I know another member of the server has a potion ring of water breathing. Also there is a water protection enchant as part of the origins but not sure about if you have a water protection potion avalible on the server
