fun fact: the loot tables for suspicious sand and gravel are actually different depending on where they are located. in desert temples you might find more gems, but in trail you might find more homestead items

If you didn't know already you can now have double sided signs and you can edit them too, and if you don't want to change it anymore you can wax it with honeycomb! I hope this helps you decorate gem!💖💖 😄

Hey Gem. Love the video. Tip with Smithing Templates: You can duplicate them in a Crafting Table by putting the template you want to duplicate in the center grid, the material it is made of on the top middle grid, and Diamonds in the remaining 7 slots. Yeap... it is very hungry on the Diamonds but it is good if you want a complete design set for your Armour.
So start looking for those diamonds baby! 😄
Also, keep a look out for Trail Ruins, it might not look like much on the surface but when you get a brush, a shovel and a pickaxe ready as well as a few torches, you'll need to dig them up and get some loot from Sus Gravel using your brush... they're fragile and break very quickly. Also you'll find Sus Gravel in Cold Ocean Ruins and Sus Sand in Desert Pyramids, Desert Wells and Warm Ocean Ruins (Warm Ocean Ruins is the only structure where you can find Sniffer Eggs in Sus Sand.

Im so glad that you started a new series in the summer, I couldnt watch much of the recent Empires SMP or Hermitcraft 9 because I was super busy with school. Thank you for making this new series, it made my day. I also am 13 and my parents don't want to buy a new console so I am still stuck on the Aquatic update with my PS3.

I'm so in love with the cherry wood. It's so fun to see someone else just as excited. Your starter house turned out so unbelievably adorable. Also, those geodes are so awesome!!! And man, tridents are no joke. I've died many a time in early game to sudden trident attacks. Never underestimate them.
Those archaeology remnants are actually enormous underground. I spent a few hours excavating and packing up one and got several stacks of bricks as well as packed mud blocks. A very nice resource to find.

Hey Gem just wanna make sure you know that those archeology structures you found you are meant to leave the blocks and dig up the gravel then they will look like decaying buildings. Also I hope you and winne are safe from the wildfires but otherwise great vid glad to see you in hardcore again
It kind of annoyed me when she immediately started breaking the terracotta. To me, the best part is seeing the remnants of the building.
@AmethystNight Omg that annoyed me to no end as well! As a history buff, it really makes me mad seeing historical structures get destroyed.
Pixlriffs might give Gem a piece of his mind, I feel like.
Everyone has different play styles. As long as the person playing is having fun, I don't see an issue. I don't think you're "supposed" to bring an Ender dragon into the Overworld, but Doc did. 🤷🏼

Wauw, you really are a very good decorator. When I saw the starter house as it was I felt immediately drawn to build it too, using your lay-out. But when you decorated it, just wauw, it looks awesome. Loving the colours too!

I just dug out my first. And its way more than I thought. I got 5 armor trim templates and a bunch of other stuff. Inventory and enderchest full. And it made so much fun!

i'm so excited!! i've been out of the minecraft loop for a while and had no idea this update even happened, i had to stop when you mentioned archeology and go watch a video about the update before i could finish! i love the cherry blossoms and of course you did an amazing job using them on that starter house! i think your last hardcore series may have been when i started watching you/minecraft youtubers in general after you and i had no idea it's been so long! i always love your content and i'm so excited to get back into watching with this series!
I like how everyone else is hyped for treasure and all then we've got Gem overly ecstatic for Cherry blossom trees ... I know the feeling I'm more excited for a new tree as well.
The trees were basically the first thing I looked for 😅 the second is the sniffer eggs because even if the flowers are useless, they're still kind of cool. The third is going to be the camel.
It was the very first thing I did, I went looking for cherry blossoms, then went and found Sniffer eggs to get the beautiful torchflowers!

That first village just has an amazing position! A port in the middle, with houses on terraces upwards towards the cherry blossoms. Now I want to get back into minecraft as well!

Just so you know, Gem, you can copy the Armor Trims, but it costs a lot of diamonds. With that one it's probably easier to just find more, but with some of the more rare ones you'll want to copy them before you use them.💖

My three ruins i found were only surface level!!! I kept digging and nothing! 😭

@@claire7657 how far down did you have to go? I went down 5 extra layers and found nothing. The whole trail ruins was like 10 blocks total, only 2 suspicious gravel.
It was pretty far from my base so i might end up cheating and finding it in a creative world copy to see if its worth traveling so far to go back lol
My first Gem videos, ever, was the first Hardcore series, and I've loved her ever since. 😊 Only Gem, and maybe Pearl, would prioritize iron for shears (for leaf blocks) over anything else. 😂 Excited for this new series!

Watched this the other day but I forgot to comment! I started watching your videos with Legacy, but it was the 1.16 Survival and the original Hardcore series that pushed you to my favourite Minecraft creator! I'm so excited to see you take on this challenge again!!
Hint: when you get to the point when you get netherite, you need a smithing template to make armor/tools. Hope this helps a bit!

i think with it being a new update we could all give a little bit of grace about the dig site, also its her world so she can do what she likes and as a builder in early game im sure she was just excited to have more blocks to use. this wont be the only dig site in the world, there will be plenty to leave intact

The archeology in Minecraft is the opposite of a letdown. I had zero expectations yet the experience is so immersive and engaging. Felt like a kid creating scenarios in the backyard. You can’t understand it until you try it

I have no idea if you’ll see this because you probably have are are soon to record episode 2 but I think it would be an adorable idea to make the area under the farm a small fake seating area or maybe even a collection area for cool stuff or even a small spot for any dogs or kitties you get! :)(:

you should make a snowy taiga village makeover! Taiga villages are pretty good on their own and have a cozy vibe to it but it would definitely look better with a small upgrade.
yeez, what a start for this series, first minutes and you already had gold, diamonds and a lot of iron. I loved the starter house; i'm bad at making houses but i'll take this as an inspiration for my next house, lul.

I'd never really thought of treasure-hunting as a valid way to get diamonds, especially in the early game, but I think it's actually a really good idea. Even with the new caves, mining has always been my least favourite part of the game, so it's cool to realise that I actually don't necessarily need a spend a bunch of time mining when I can instead explore above ground (which I enjoy much more). Just kinda cool that there are multiple ways to do the same thing (get diamonds), I hadn't realised that before
Gem. Your custom trees are AMAZING!!! Please could you do a tutorial on how to build the perfect custom cherry blossom tree in different sizes just because I love them and I really want to have lots in my world but I’m not sure where to start. I love your videos and keep up the amazing building!! ❤
