You need a tiny park/garden for the villagers to hang out in. The village bell could be in there so they'd enjoy it, and you'd have a pretty place to chop your trees in the park. Loving the productivity in this episode!

I love this series! Would it be weird to ask to make the villager breeder a windmill instead? It's pretty close to the farms so it wouldn't look out of place but the little tower is cute too :>

Its so calming watching Gems lets plays taking it slow and being in the early game.

The little timelapse at 8:10 of Gem moving the rest of the villagers in the minecarts literally made my day, that was the most wholesomely funny thing I've seen in awhile

My favorite early-game farm is Shulkercraft's blaze farm! I'm talking endless furnace fuel AND tons of xp! I'd highly recommend making one of those. And personally, I'd love to see you do more in the nether anyway so it seems like the perfect option!

I am very much a newbie farm builder as redstone just seems so daunting to me. But seeing Gem create these simple and small farms makes me want to try it too!

Edit: A trick I used to get the villagers inside the iron farm was to keep trading with them as I led them into the farm. If you head back and right click on a villager (with a job), it'll follow you.

For later game, I love making creeper farms so I have plenty of rockets with Elytra and can mine for netherite with TNT! Love all your content, Gem!

I think a gold farm would probably be a good idea soon, or at least once you've set up a good place for building in the Nether. Also the series is amazing so far! Watching your hardcore videos inspires me to keep building in my own worlds!

Farm idea: maybe a bamboo farm would be a good idea, both for the new blocks and the emeralds you can get with them

You've probably already heard from Scar, but the flowers from the cherry biom always place at the bottom right of the block (as you're facing) if possible, or counterclockwise otherwise. So you could make some epic paths/designs with them!

Great episode, one tiny farm I tend to build early is a single cactus, green dye is useful later on but takes time. Look forward to each video thx.

Suggestion would be to take one of the mini caves around the village and make a lava and drip stone farm in it with custom cave theme.

I love the detail of the iron farm Gem it looks amazing. I have an idea / suggestion for you. You should find some allays and use them to collect the torchflower seeds from the sniffers so you can have a torchflower seed farm.

Hej Gem, nice work :) If you want an iron farm design which is a bit easier on the eyes (and probably easier to decorate) with similar if not slightly better rates have a look at Arystotle’s design for 1.19 (works in 1.20 also). Only con could be that - if you build it on the ground - you need to spawn proof an area of ˜8 blocks around the farm (could be path or (moss) carpet for example).

Awesome builds Gem! BTW, when you jump down to scaffolding next time you can hold crouch/sneak and you will avoid taking fall damage because you go straight to climbing down. (You probably know this already but hey, thought I'd share the tip).

Gem's single-player worlds always make me so nostalgic for when I first started watching, even though X-Life was an smp it feels a lot closer to her current single-player worlds than say hermitcraft or empires 😂

Nothing is more relaxing than watching Gem make farms 😌

If you add an item filter to your Iron farm for Poppies, you'll get a steady supply that you can feed into a Composter for bone meal.

I'm certainly not as much of an expert as you, but personally it might be cool to have a path going from the village to the "farming district" area. Just so they feel a little more connected. Unless that's not your intention. Also, it might not hurt to have a tree farming area, or maybe a "logging" area / man made forest where the villagers go to harvest wood when it's needed. Loving all the videos lately. Thanks for posting so much.

An idea for the villages, create main entrances for them sticking with the pink for your village and brown for the other one. Put a pathway connect it or two separate ones and in between a river or flowers field or custom trees. I got a lot of ideas, I just don't know if I make sense.

This was amazing video. BTW the sticks were two because you had planks and bamboo in your inventory so that means than you can use two recipes for them.

Gem I don’t know if you have already done this yet but you can put drip stone over the hopper for Instant kills from the mobs in your underground mob farm also you may find it easier for you to get up to your base if you build a bubble elevator near the pickup zone using both magma blocks (down) and soul sand (up), because I know you were annoyed with getting up the cave in ep.2. 😄

Hero of the village and Raid farms are probably the most OP farms, but right below that you got a gold farm with an auto-bartering system
And although my favorite farm to actually BUILD is probably a geode farm, I think one of the most unique ones i've done is sort of a combination farm:
It combines a BUNCH of stuff into a single tower: A villager crop farm, wheat/seed/bread farm, villager breeder and "pre-trader" holding cell, bonemeal farm, and flower farm.
A tower with levels for carrots, potatos and wheat each get harvested by farmers, who try to share their food with additional villagers, but the food doesn't reach them and falls down to the bottom of the tower, a water stream catches the food, and if the villager breeder is enabled, a piston diverts the water stream to first pass by the villagers in breeding cells. can breed up to 12 villagers a day with 6 cells. food then goes into a sorter and overflow gets composted into bonemeal. Bonemeal is sent up to a flower farm, and flowers are sorted and excess flowers are recycled back into bonemeal.
This single tower can provide villagers for a trading hall or additional farms, carrots, potatoes, bread, wheat, seeds, bonemeal, and all sorts of flowers for dye making. --- there is also a way to incoporate a iron farm into the build but is tricky and is less efficient than the standard iron farms we all already know and use. But i really like the tower-based crop/villager brreeder and bonemeal/flower farm combo.

Hi Gem :) your iron farm may eventually stop working as the zombie isn't losing LOS of the villagers to give them a chance to sleep. You can fix it by having him bobbing on a wall and water :)

I know i definitely want to use mud in my worlds but as far as i know, mud is still broken on bedrock for some reason 🤣 and of course as usual, love the content gem

And loving the way you are building in diffrent areas to make a world and not just a village

It'd be cool to see you make a bustling market as a villager trading area! Villagers would be in stalls to sell you their goods. You could do a neat trick with honey blocks under carpets so that the villagers won't just jump over their open stalls. As for zombies... Maybe a few iron golems around would be enough as well as enough light? But yeah it'd be cool to have a villager trading open market with stalls and such.

A big cherry tree in the middle of the village would be a great addition

I think at your potato & carrot farm, it might still be possible for zombies to go over the bushes. I couldnt see it clearly, but maybe check if thats still possible!

This isnt related to any major events of the episode, but I LOVE that we can edit signs now because it means you can make an actual check list without just breaking the sign!

The farm stood out to me very well because they look very nice and at the same time are very functional. Great job!
By the way, what would you recommend for new builders in Minecraft? Should they just practise and practise to get better in building? I am curious to know what you think.
